This collection of essays presents a life-giving alternative to narrow, hardline interpretations of Anglicanism. It offers a faithful Scriptural approach to inclusive, orthodox Christianity in today’s context, reflecting Anglicanism’s broad and generous tradition.

A True and Lively Faith offers essays from within the Australian Anglican Church, presenting arguments for comprehensive Anglicanism in the face of the current challenge from less inclusive modes of the Church in this country. The contributors – leading clergy and laity from across Australia – demonstrate comprehensive Anglicanism’s faithfulness to Scripture and the Creeds, provide thoughtful reflections on the Church’s generous mission, and confront some of the harder issues threatening to divide the Church.
