• Grace and Gratitude

Reflecting on the lyrics of several favourite pieces of music – including ‘What a Wonderful World’ (Louis Armstrong), ‘I dreamed a dream’ (Les Misérables), and Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Grace and Gratitude’ – Brian Gallagher discovers aspects of his personal spirituality, developed over fifty-five years of priestly ministry. He offers glimpses of his own experience of God’s love in his life, glimpses of the ultimate fulfilment celebrated in Mahler’s ‘Resurrection Symphony’: what you have longed for is yours. ‘For this we say thankyou’ becomes a recurring theme of the reflections
